Upon further pondering of this question, I also realized that drawing Hanbei in his Modern!AU style differentiates my blog from other wonderful Hanbei blogs, and I think it’s important to have variety!

Also, this blog is just for fun, and it’s quick and easy to draw modern!AU Hanbei over his regular uniform. I’m just trying to get myself to pump out pictures— Not aiming for SUPER SUGOI QUALITY HERE /sparkledesu))

I resonate pretty heavily with Hanbei, actually. Personality wise, we’re pretty similar, so I’ve become pretty attached to him. Hahaha. I even have a really tight-knit ‘family’ of sorts, consisting of my gigantic Hideyoshi (he’s 6’6”, and towers over me. I’m 5’3” orz;;), whom I’m head over heels for, and my Mitsunari who is like my sibling and my best friend, my child and my parent sometimes when I can’t handle myself.

… Point being, Hanbei resonates with me, and I love drawing him. I’ve been having such a hard time pumping out drawings lately— I need to get better! So I created an ask blog so that it would force me to draw. <3

Also because I really do enjoy entertaining people!

AND BECAUSE WHO DOESN’T WANT TO DRAW A FABULOUS, SASSY STRATEGIST, HUH?
